Exec: Musk’s SpaceX buys Russian video conferencing soft

MOSCOW, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- Elon Musk’s SpaceX has purchased Russian software for video conferencing and uses it for broadcasting and webinars, Dmitry Odintsov, director for development at company-developer TrueConf, said on Wednesday.

“SpaceX uses TrueConf’s solutions, for example, for creation of remote broadcasts, which is an interesting case. A speaker sits at home or at a corporate video studio, and it all gets into SpaceX’s studio for live broadcasts,” Odintsov said.

He told PRIME that SpaceX started using TrueConf’s solution in 2020.

“They bought (it) via partners, paid for the already commercial solution to use it in their broadcasts, webinars, for various stories. They have a studio where everything is integrated, when speakers can be at home and in corporate studios,” Odintsov said.
